Who these terms are with

This website and any software published under the Ingot Solutions name are operated by Ingot Solutions, a company registered in Alberta, Canada, with its registered office in Calgary, Alberta. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Ingot Solutions, and “you” means the person or organisation using this website or our software.

What this page covers, and what it does not

These terms apply to this website and to software we publish through Microsoft Marketplace, AppSource and the SharePoint Store.

They do not govern consulting work. Paid engagements are governed by a separate written statement of work signed by both parties, which sets out scope, price, timeline, acceptance criteria, intellectual property ownership and liability for that engagement. Where a statement of work and this page disagree, the statement of work wins.

Using this website

You may read, print and share anything published here. You may not:

• use the site in a way that damages it, interferes with other people using it, or breaks any law
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting, or any connected system
• copy substantial portions of the written content and present it as your own

The contact form sends what you type to our inbox so we can reply. What we do with it is described in our privacy policy. Do not send confidential information through it — use email and ask us for a more suitable channel first.

Software we publish

Software we publish through Microsoft Marketplace, AppSource or the SharePoint Store is licensed to you, not sold. You may install and use it within your own organisation, subject to any additional terms shown on the offer listing itself.

You may not:

• redistribute, resell or sublicense it
• reverse engineer it, except where law expressly permits you to
• remove or obscure any copyright or attribution notice it contains

Some of our software connects to systems you control — your Microsoft 365 tenant, your Azure subscription, your line-of-business applications. It acts under the permissions you grant it and the identity of the signed-in user. It does not transmit your data to us. Where an offer listing states that a component requires an API endpoint or backend service you provide, that component will not function until you provide it.

Third-party services

Our software runs on and connects to services operated by others, including Microsoft. Their availability, behaviour and terms are outside our control, and your use of them is governed by your agreement with them, not by this page.

Intellectual property

The content of this website, our name, and our logo belong to us. Software we publish remains ours except where a signed statement of work assigns specific deliverables to a client. Microsoft, Azure, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and related names are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation; SAP is a trademark of SAP SE. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for either company.

No warranty

This website and any software we publish without charge are provided “as is”. We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Test anything in a non-production environment before you rely on it.

This does not limit any warranty given expressly in a signed statement of work, and it does not exclude anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, or lost or corrupted data arising from use of this website or of software we published without charge. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Liability arising from paid consulting work is dealt with in the statement of work for that engagement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
